Allow me to introduce myself and my family:  My name is Matthew and my wife is Megan.  We have been married since 1997 and have been in love ever since High School (I know-who truly understands love in high school- let’s just say I thought Megan was beautiful since high school and wanted to marry her the day I met her).

We currently have six children: Carter, Max, Annie, Ella, Charlie, and Ivy.  We love being parents and are passionate about learning to really lead our family towards a closer relationship with one another and with God.

We are a proud, “nerdy” home school family.  Although, truth be told, we haven’t quite mastered our own garden or making our own bread.  The garden is on hold because it is just so hot in Mesa, Arizona where we live.  

We began Holy Oatmeal as a way for us to share and gather wonderful ideas, thoughts, resources, tools and more to help us walk out the high calling of raising a family where our faith is real and not just something we do on Sundays.  We believe our kids are a blessing from God and feel called to raise them to be a blessing to the world around them.

HolyOatmeal.com is an online journal of sorts as I discover how to be better dad and worship leader in my own home. I have been leading, singing and writing worship music for over 18 years now.  I lead Saturday nights at our home church in Mesa Arizona and  Sunday mornings all over at different churches throughout the Phoenix Valley.

I have 3 worship CDs out am currently putting together the works for my next project: a kids worship CD.
